On a day when the seniors for ART U women's basketball shined, freshman guard Vianai Austin showed why the program's future remains very bright. Austin posted a team-high 17 points against Notre Dame de Namur in the Urban Knights' 86-53 victory to conclude the season on Mar. 3. The La Puente, CA native had a stellar second half, scoring 10 points and knocking down a pair of 3-pointers.

Academy of Art got out and converted in transition several times Saturday and Austin was right there finishing at the basket. Among the highlights was one she took coast-to-coast to keep the Argonatus at bay in the second half. The freshman completed the day 5-of-5 at the free throw line, 2-of-4 from distance, and added five rebounds as well as three steals.
