In his first action of the year, defending national champion in the 60m and 200m and 14-time All-American Mobolade Ajomale had a memorable weekend in New York.

After debuting with a NCAA Division II Nationals provisional qualifier of 6.80 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite on Jan. 11, Ajomale delivered the fastest NCAA Division II 60m time thus far with a near-automatic qualifying 6.74 at the TCNJ Lions Indoor the next day on Jan. 12. He would add another provisional mark in the 200m at 21.27 (second in DII to start) and contributed to one more in the 4x400m relay, going 3:15.91 with his teammates for the sixth-best time DII has seen this season.
