Kennedy Kurgat achieved a lifetime best in the 800m run during competition at the Brutus Hamiliton Invitational Hosted by UC Berkeley April 23-24. Kurgat bested his previous time by two seconds to finish eighth at the Invite with a time of 1:52.78. The sophomore beat out runners from Division I programs such as; Fresno State, Santa Clara University and Sacramento State, to name a few. Kurgat has improved his time in the 800m in every meet thus far this season.
