Freshman infielder Haley Randall continued a pair of impressive streaks this past week, hitting in 13 straight games while driving in at least one run in eight consecutive games all while playing a major role in ART U softball's 5-1 week.
Coming into the week having hit safely in seven games, Randall started by going 1-for-3 in both contests versus Northwest Nazarene on
Apr. 7, driving in one run in the first and two in the second. She then had a career-high four hits in five at-bats to start the Urban Knights’ series with HNU on
Apr. 9, homering and doubling all while driving in three and scoring twice. The Art Education major finished the day by going 1-for-4 with another run batted in and a run scored in game two. On the final day of the series (
Apr. 10), Randall turned in a 1-for-3 performance with two RBIs and one run scored in the first contest then closed the week by going 1-for-1 with another RBI and one run scored.
For the week, Randall batted .474 (9-for-19) with 10 RBIs, one homers, one double, one stolen base, and six runs scored. She now ranks for second in the conference in home runs (4), third in batting average (.426) and RBIs (20).
