Freshman middle blocker Janaya Delone was at the forefront of Academy of Art volleyball's top two blocks performances of the season in the Urban Knights' 1-1 week.

In a five-set battle with Holy Names on Nov. 19, Delone's two block solos and seven block assists resulted in a career-high nine total blocks, which came with eight kills (her second-highest total of the year) and three digs, to tie current teammate Jillian Wheaton for the second-most by a freshman in ART U history. The Animation & Visual Effects major then finished 2021 with six more blocks (all assists) plus six kills and one dig in a 3-1 win over Dominican on Nov. 20.

Delone finished the season as the team leader in blocks per set (0.87) with a total of four block solos and 23 block assists in 31 sets played.
