At the Azusa Pacific Last Chance Meet, Natalia Novak delivered not only two of her two best times of the season, but also qualified for Outdoor Nationals in the process.

Novak's second 800m of the year saw her post a new program record of 2:07.81 to bettering improve upon her own ART U best by more than a full second. The leader in the event on May 13, she took nearly five seconds off her season-best to enter into the country's top 10. The following day on May 14, the Communications & Media Technologies major finished less than half a second from the winner of the 1500m, crossing the finish line at 4:22.43 which rose her more than 15 spots to eighth in the country and once again solidified her spot in the event at Outdoor Nationals.
