Sophomore right side Katherine Von Kraut steadily built upon her performances through Academy of Art volleyball's first four matches before a career effort closed the weekend slate in the Otter Invitational.

After registering five and seven kills respectively against No. 23 Michigan Tech and Cal State Monterey Bay on Aug. 26, Von Kraut did a little bit of everything to start Aug. 27 versus Cal Poly Pomona. The Fashion Design major hit well for the second straight contest, leading her to nine kills in addition to four digs, three assists, two block solos, and one block assist. To close out the four-match opening week against Cal State Dominguez Hills, Von Kraut exploded for a career-high 19 kills on the strength of a .452 hitting percentage (her highest total since Oct. 8, 2021) while also posting her highest dig total (8) to date as a collegiate competitor.

On the season, Von Kraut ranks first on the team in both kills per set (2.86) and hitting percentage (.346).
