Sophomore Erica Hellbe played a major role for Academy of Art women's tennis, securing five of the Urban Knights' 23 wins in the Penguin Invitational over Oct. 15-16.

The Interaction & UI/UX Design major opened with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Dominican's Antoinette Schreiber in singles action then teamed with freshman Jessica Plazas for a 6-4 triumph against Holy Names' Carlotta Romito & Linda Dimitroff in the top doubles position. Hellbe closed the first day of play with a 6-2, 6-4 singles win versus Sylvana Talmantes of Stanislaus State in the fifth position. Day two began with Hellbe and Plazas delivering two more doubles victories, putting away DU's Audrey Rafols and Gina Dudley 6-2 then the Warriors' Zuzanna Dziewiecka and Amber Huk 6-4.
