David Siracusa joined the Urban Knights in July of 2016 as assistant coach for the Academy of Art women’s soccer program.
 
Siracusa hails from a long background of coaching. He first served as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Sonoma State from 1997-1998 before becoming the founding women’s soccer coach at Stanislaus State. After three years with the Warriors, Siracusa spent two as the assistant men’s soccer coach at San Diego State and then five as the head women’s soccer coach at San Jose State. There, he twice posted the best win-loss record in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and coached the WAC’s most valuable player in 2006 and Freshman of the Year in 2005.
 
Before working in the college realm, Siracusa also worked with multiple youth organizations including: the U.S. Olympic Development Program, Sebastopol United, the SF Glens as well as stints at Burlingame, Riordan, Santa Cruz, and Analy High Schools.
 
Before his coaching days, Siracusa was on the Dean’s list at Sonoma State where he received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and his master’s in Organizational Psychology, Sport Psychology.
