OPENING TIP:
On Friday, the Urban Knights begin their SF State Invitational tournament a pair of contests against CCAA schools. A rematch with CSU Monterey Bay is first on Friday followed by a match-up with host SF State University on Saturday.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Currently amidst an eleven-game road trip, the Urban Knights will play five more games before January 1^st following the Invitational. This begins with a Southern California trip to face the University of San Diego on Friday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 PM.

SCOUTING THE OTTERS:
Cal State Monterey Bay, host of the 2008 CSU Monterey Bay Classic, comes off two victories against CCAA opponents Chico State (87-84) and CSU Stanislaus (80-68). Senior guard Steve Monreal is one of four players averaging double-figure points with 17.8 ppg. Monreal is supported by senior forward Dante Green who puts up 12.2 ppg and 7.3 rpg.

SCOUTING THE GATORS:
San Francisco State University has begun its season a perfect 7-0 after defeating CSU Stanislaus (70-67) and Chico State (60-49) in its most recent games at the CSU Monterey Bay Classic. Senior guard Alex Thomas, named the CCAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week, currently averages 17.6 ppg, 3.7 rpg and has made 11 3-pointers overall. Sophomore guard Robert Hayes is the only other Gator to average double-figure points with 14.6 ppg.

LAST GAME RECAP:
The Academy of Art University men's basketball team fell to Fort Lewis College, 85-52, on Saturday, Nov. 29th in the second game of Grand Canyon University's Thanksgiving Classic. Junior guard J.R. Cassita finished with a game-high 18 points including three 3-pointers. Freshman forward Hunter Hayden followed with 10 points and six rebounds.
