PHOENIX, AZ - Academy of Art junior outside hitter Dan Yang (Beijing, China/Beijing 5th Sports School) has been named the Pacific West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Nov. 9, for matches contested from Nov. 2-8.

This nomination marks Yangs' second this season. Yang totaled 39.5 points while averaging 6.58 points per game to lead the PacWest in both categories for the week. She also topped the conference in kills (36) and kills per game (6.00), while her .304 hitting average ranked sixth. She totaled her 39.5 points on 36 kills, two aces and three block assists.

The Urban Knights play two more matches before concluding their season. First is NDNU on Thursday Nov 12 at Kezar Pavilion, opening serve is set for 7:00 PM. Their final match of the season is against Dixie State College, the game will be played at the College of San Mateo, game time is set for 7:00 PM.
