Phoenix, AZ – The All-PacWest Conference awards were announced this week, with Academy of Art junior Dan Yang receiving First Team honors along with six other PacWest athletes. Throughout the course of the season Yang was voted to the PacWest Conference Top 10 Honor Roll nine times, while garnering two player of the week honors, prior to her first team berth.

 

Yang led the PacWest in kills this season; she finished with a conference high 248 kills and averaged 4.51 kills per set in conference. Overall, Yang finished with 518 kills and led the team in digs, with 374. Yang notched nine matches with 20 or more kills, and recorded a season high 26 kills and 25 digs in the Urban Knights final match against Dixie State College on Nov 13. Yang was one of three players that played in all 119 sets this season.

 

In their first official full PacWest season the Urban Knights finished 5-11 in conference and 18-15 overall.
