San Rafael, Calif. -- The Academy of Art University women's tennis team traveled to San Rafael for a match-up against the Penguins of Dominican University.  The Urban Knights went 1-2 in doubles, but swept singles 6-0 for a final result of 7-2. 

 

Sophomore Laone "Lala" Botshoma and senior Anna Ritchie excelled yesterday with victories in both doubles and singles. Botshoma and Ritchie paired up in #3 doubles to defeat Dominican's Freitas/Tan 8-5. Botshoma went on to defeat Stephanie Lemp in #2 singles, while Ritchie served up a victory for the Urban Knights in #5 singles against Katie Lewis 6-0, 6-1. 

 

In the #1 singles spot, Sophomore Cassy Fabiani secured a decisive victory over Jessica Miller, defeating Miller 6-0 in two straight sets.
