California State University, Stanislaus hosted the 36th Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational Men's Golf Tournament on April 12-14 at the Turlock Golf and Country Club.
Course Information
The tournament took place at the Turlock Golf and Country Club, southwest of Turlock. The championship layout is 6,641-yard, par-72 configuration. The phone number to the pro shop is (209) 634-4976 and the website is turlockcountryclub.com.
Format
The 54-hole, three-round tournament began with team practice rounds on Sunday, April 12, which started at 1:30 p.m.; 36 holes of continued play on Monday, April 13, with shotgun start tee times beginning at 8 a.m.; Tuesday, April 14's 18-hole single round was also a shotgun format beginning at 8 a.m.

Erik Majzner (Mexico City, Mexico) helped lead the Urban Knights to an 11th place overall finish by shooting an impressive 220 on 6,641 yard, par 72-course. Despite his strong finish, it was
Matt Garcia (Burlingame, CA) who led the charge for the Urban Knights during round one, he was tied for 9th along with Thomas Jun of Western Washington University, who finished the whole tournament tied for 2nd place, and Justin Gabbert of UCSD all shooting a 72 at the end of the first round.
Round two, saw
Majzner shoot two under par and raise himself to 20th place. He then shot a 72 during the third and final round, securing his 9th place spot. The two round turn-around for
Majzner gave him his 2nd straight top 10 finish this season, and gave him a 9th-place finish and the distinction of being the only Urban Knights to shoot in the 70s all three rounds.
As a team, AAU finished 11th of 16 teams competing.
Garcia, who entered round two tied for 9th after his 72 round, finished the tournament with a 230 and +14, 10 strokes behind than
Majzner.
