Kailua-Kona, HI The Urban Knights women's tennis team fell 9-0 to the top-ranked Brigham Young University Hawaii Seasiders on Tuesday. The Seasiders swept each of the three doubles matches and then took each of the six singles matches in straight sets to improve to 21-0 for the season. The Urban Knights move to 5-8 overall.
AAU's
Cassy Fabiani teamed up with
Paola Correa Fe in #1 Doubles and lost a hard fought battle 8-3 to the team of Elwen Li and Yuan Jia.
Fabiani was later defeated 6-1, 6-0 at #1 Singles to Li, while
Correa Fe held her own against Wen-Ling Wang at #3 Singles but was defeated 6-2, 6-1.
The Academy of Art University women's tennis team will face Chaminade University Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 2:00pm.
