posted a season-high 17 points off the bench in a 59-57 loss to Notre Dame de Namur on Feb. 13 garnering him a place on the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Feb. 15, for games contested on Feb. 8-14.
The majority of
Dennis' points came off his 4-for-5 shooting from three-point land and he had several timely shots to keep the Urban Knights in the game.
Dennis helped Academy of Art take a two-point lead late in the first half when he drained a pair of 3-pointers in a span of 30 seconds.
Dennis struck again in the second half when two more of his treys fell to tie the game 48-48 with under four minutes remaining.
Dennis bested his previous season-high by nine points and also finished with seven rebounds, one rebound shy of tying his career-high. He added two assists and two steals as well.
Looking at PacWest Conference numbers for the week,
Dennis was tied for sixth in scoring the and tied for 10th in rebounding. He was tied for eighth in shooting (62.5%) after a 5-for-8 night. In addition,
Dennis was third in the conference in three-point shooting and ranked first in 3-pointers made per game.
This is the first selection to the PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll for
Dennis.
