San Francisco, CA- The Academy of Art University softball team had three members voted to the Pacific West Conference Honor Roll for the week of March 8th. After competing in four games last week, the Knights impressed with the big numbers they put up. The three players who were honored are Sophomore
Sierrah Garcia, junior
Ashley Lokey, and freshman
Andrea Hanchey.
Garcia, P/OF from Los Banos, CA, had a solid performance both on the mound and offensively for the Knights. She went 3-0 with a 3.29 earned run average over the weekend. Sierrah stared in two games, and appeared in all four with one complete game shut out and also posted a no-hitter against Patten University on March 6th. Overall she pitched 13.2 innings, giving up five earned runs, and recording 15 strike outs.
Lokey, OF from Eugene, OR, batted a .615 in four starts. She went 8-13 with four runs scored, a double, a triple, and one run batted in. Ashley also walked twice and stole on base. She finished the weekend series with a .867 slugging percentage, and a .667 on base mark.
Hanchey, UTL. from Los Gatos, CA, also stood out offensively. She posted a .571 batting average in the four games this weekend. Andrea went 8-14 with six runs scored, a double, and one run batted in. She also nabbed three walks and ended with a .714 slugging percentage, and a .700 on base average.
