Dauer Wins Pitcher of the Week for Second Straight Week, Garcia and Lokey Named to Honor Roll

San Francisco, CA - Academy of Art University's freshman pitcher Kimberly Dauer was named PacWest pitcher of the week for April 12th-18th. This is the second straight week Dauer has received the honor. After a 5-1 week, the Urban Knights had two other players named to the Pacific West Honor Roll for their achievements. Those players were sophomore Sierrah Garcia, and junior Ashley Lokey.

Dauer, pitcher, Los Osos, CA., had a tremendous week on the mound for the Urban Knights. She went 2-0 in four starts, and five appearances. She recorded 27 strikeouts in 23.2 innings pitched, giving up just two earned runs, and two walks. Kim threw two complete games, and recorded a save, while finishing with a 0.59 earned run average.

Garcia, pitcher/outfield, Los Banos, CA., also had a great week for the Knights with a 3-1 record in two starts, and four appearances. In over 18 innings pitched, she allowed just two earned runs, and a .179 opposing batting average, while posting 23 strikeouts and a 0.76 ERA. Sierrah also stood out offensively, going 6-17 with a .353 batting average including four runs scored, one double, and four runs batted in. She also posted a .412 slugging percentage, and a .421 on base mark.

Lokey, first base/out field, Eugene, OR., was named to the PacWest honor roll for the second consecutive week. She batted .500 going 8-16 with six runs scored, two doubles, a walk off home run, and one run batted in. She helped lead the team offensively during the week, as she stole two bases, and walked six times. Ashley posted a .813 slugging rate, and a .652 on base percentage.
