San Francisco, CA - The Academy of Art University's softball team had two players named to the PacWest Honor Roll for the week of April 5th. The Urban Knights were honored for their on field performances in the games against Hawaii Pacific on March 30th and 31st, and the games against Grand Canyon University on April 2nd and 3rd. The two players to receive the honor, were juniors Alana Aweau and Ashley Lokey.

Aweau, IF, Fairfield, CA, was responsible for the 9-7 victory over Grand Canyon in the fourth game of the series. She hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning, with two outs to carry her team to the win. During that week she hit a .375 in eight starts, going 9-24 with five runs scored, four doubles, seven RBI's, and two home runs. Alana also recorded a .444 on base percentage, and had a .792 slugging rate.

Lokey, IF/OF, Eugene, OR, had a tremendous week at the plate for the Urban Knights. She went 9-21 and batted a .429 in eight starts. During the week she tallied eight runs scored, two home runs, six walks, three runs batted in , and was 3-3 in stolen bases. Ashley also posted a .714 slugging percentage, and a .556 on base percentage.
