San Francisco, CA - Academy of Art University women's tennis newcomer Diane Phan was named to the 2010 All-PacWest Second Team for her accomplishments in singles. This is the first PacWest team honor not only for Phan, but for the women's tennis program as well. The announcement came a few weeks after the Urban Knights upset their competitors in the conference championships, and took fifth place in the Pacific West.

Phan, a freshman from Fremont, CA, had tremendous first season for the Urban Knights. She finished with a 9-12 overall singles record. She defeated two nationally ranked players during the year including one against Sonoma State and one against Dixie State. Although she was not recognized for it, Phan also did well in doubles where she finished with an 11-10 record.
