Sacramento, CA---
The Urban Knights traveled to Sacramento to take part in the Sacramento State Open Saturday afternoon at Hornet Stadium.  AAU closed their 2010 season with some of it's athletes achieving lifetime bests.

Amos Maru had a lifetime best and set the school record in the 1500 meters in 3:57.78, " We are proud of his achievement", said Anne Ricketts the Urban Knights Assistant Coach. "His goal all season was to break four minutes and he did our last meet".

continued to run well, finishing fourth in the 800m run in 1:54.33, while teammate Simon Mutai ran his second fastest time of the season, 1:56.87, which earned him an eight place finish.

On the field senior Durelle Williams placed third in the long jump, his jump of 6.92m marks Williams' longest jump of the season.

On the women's side Jazmin White and Kristen Lee both had an outstanding day. Both got major personal records in the 100 meters. Lee got fourth place with a time of 12.34 while White placed two spots behind her teammate with a time of 12.48, sixth place. Emily Allis finished fourth in the 400 meters hurdles with a season best time 1:05.73.

On the whole the Urban Knights had a very successful season, with multiple athletes achieving personal bests in their respective. The coaching staff and athletes have much to be proud of in their first official season in the Pac West and NCAA. The Urban Knights look to build on the foundation that they have laid this season and look forward to seasons to come.
