San Francisco, CA--- The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced July 5, 2010 with a total of 494 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Andrea Nieto and Crystal Superal were recognized by the NGCA for their stellar academic work and athletic contributions.

Crystal S.
Superal was a first year Multimedia communications major who finished the 2010 spring season with a 3.85 GPA. Not only did the freshman lead by example off the course she also led the team on the links. Superal finished her freshman campaign 20th in the region, she had a 79.24 average, and recorded a career and season round low (69) during the first round of the Dominican Invitational.

Andrea Chipping

“As a program we are very proud of them, they have set a good example for other student athletes as they continue to meet and exceed expectations,” Larkey said in closing.
