San Francisco, CA--- The Academy of Art University Track & Field program adds two talented freshmen athletes to their 2010-11 roster. Sisters, Kendall and Kylie Long, from West Ranch High School will add depth to the women’s roster in the sprints and mid-distance events.
The recruits were announced by interim Head Coach Anne Ricketts, “We are thrilled that Kylie and Kendall are coming to AAU,” said Ricketts. “They are both true artists and fierce competitors so they will be great additions to our squad. I could tell right away that they are dedicated and have a strong work ethic,” continued Ricketts.
Kylie and Kendall Long Signing Letter of Intent
Both were three sport athletes at WRHS lettering in track & field, soccer, and cross country. Kylie placed 3rd at the Foothill League Championship in the 800m run and 6th at the CIF-SS Divisional Finals. Kendall was a finalist in the 300m hurdles.
“They are [both] exactly the kind of athletes we need to build a strong team. I'm really excited to work with them and excited to see our women's cross country team this fall!”
“My only concern with the twins is telling them apart in races!” Ricketts jokes.
