San Francisco, CA -- Another stand-out athlete has been signed to the Academy of Art University Men's Basketball team as announced by Head Coach Mark Sembrowich. A product of Jefferson High School, Noah Koné-Nelson will join the 2010-2011 squad after enjoying repeated championship successes at the high school level.

Koné-Nelson, a 6-7 center, was a four-year letterwinner in basketball as a Jefferson High School Democrat. The Portland, OR native captured three OSAA 5A Men's Basketball State Championships under the guidance of Head Coach Patrick Strickland. In addition, Koné-Nelson earned All-P.I.L. from 2008 through 2010.

“Noah comes from winning three straight State titles. He will bring body and athleticism to the team, along with a willingness to compete everyday,” added Coach Sembrowich.

Koné-Nelson hopes to fulfill his dreams of becoming a sports analyst by studying Multimedia Communications at Academy of Art University.
