Phoenix, AZ -- For their efforts in an exciting 3-2 overtime victory against Menlo this past week, freshman forward
Grimur Grimsson, junior midfielder
Richard Luna, and junior goalkeeper
Daniel Waller have all been chosen for the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll.
Grimsson scored two goals in the match including the game-winner,
Luna notched a goal as well as an assist, and
Waller assisted the final score while posting three saves. The honors were announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 13, for games played Sept. 6-12.

Luna,
Grimsson chipped one over Menlo's goalkeeper who had come close for a save attempt. Then, in overtime, the
Grimsson again put ART U in front and this time for good. The Seltjarnarnes, Iceland native curved a shot over a diving Oaks goalie to seal the victory for Academy of Art University in the 98th minute.
“We really wanted to finish the game and the ball fell well for me so it was the best thing that could have happened,” Grimsson said. “This was an important game for us as it was our last before conference play. This team is coming together every day, we are aiming for the same goal, and the wins will come with that.”
In addition to setting up
Grimsson on the match's first goal,
Luna scored one of his own in the second period. He put in an unassisted goal in the 71st minute by way of a volley over the goalkeeper that bounced off the crossbar and found the back of the net.
Luna would finish the contest with a total of three points and three shots.


, the Knights' goalkeeper in two of the team's first three matches, earned his honor for a defensive as well as offensive showing in the Menlo contest. In goal for all 98 minutes (his second complete game in overtime),
posted three saves and earned the first assist of his ART U career on a nearly field-length punt to

enjoy their first honor of their respective careers.
