Phoenix, AZ – Following record-setting performances by juniors
Amos Maru and
Daveson Marindich at the 2010 Stanford Invitational on Sept. 25, the Academy of Art University men's cross country team had both runners represented on the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. The honors were announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 27, for races contested on Sept. 25.
's new career best time of 24:33. He qualified for 31st place overall among four-year entries on the 8k course.
Maru, who competed against runners from #1 Stanford and #4 Northern Arizona in the meet, finished in front of the top finishers from Division I institutions Cal Poly and UC Irvine.
crossed the line with a time of 25:10. The mark placed
62nd among four-year runners, besting his previous time on the course by more than 40 seconds.
earns the third Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selection for his career and first of 2010. This is the seventh honor for
in his career and third this season.
