Final Results

Lichfield, AZ -- The Urban Knights secured a 16th place finish following the final day of the Grand Canyon University Fall Invitational at the Wigwam Golf Course. Senior Stuart Favretto posted a team-best 223 (76-74-74) and took home a tie for 37th. Freshman Alberto "Dago" Esponda remained consistent in his first tournament for Academy of Art with the second highest ART U finish.

Esponda carded a 232 (77-77-78) over the three rounds leading to his tie for 67th while freshman Cole Yamane turned in an 83 on the last day for a 235 (76-76-83) final score and a tie for 75th. Junior Sean Etow was a mere stroke behind Yamane with his 236 (80-76-80) which put him in a tie for 80th. The fifth Knights finisher was freshman Cody Moore who was tied for 88th after a three-round score of 162 (81-81-81).

ART U finished just two strokes behind Cal State East Bay, but had a sizable advantage over the bottom four teams which included Regis, Fort Lewis, Arizona Christian, and Dominican (CA).

Chico State's Kyle Souza moved into first overall with another 70 on day two, finishing with a 209 (69-70-70) overall. The Wildcats earned the team title with an 859 which ousted University of Colorado at Colorado Springs by a single stroke.

The Urban Knights continue their fall season with the InterWest Wildcat Classic hosted by Chico State at the Sevillano Links Golf Course on Oct. 17, 18.
