San Francisco, CA -- The Urban Knights will be holding their inaugural Urban Knights Pep Rally to kick off the start of men's and women's basketball season on Friday at 7PM at Morgan Auditorium (491 Post). This season Kezar Pavilion will become the home turf for the Urban Knight Nation as the men's and women's basketball teams take on the best the PacWest has to offer, and more. If you were there for last week's Battle of the Halls for volleyball's Senior Night, you saw the potential for how a spirited home crowd can become the pivotal sixth man for the Urban Knights.

[Men's Basketball Schedule]

Come out and meet Director of Athletics and former San Francisco 49er Dr. Jamie Williams, who knows all about the will to win and the power of the fans. You will meet the men's and women's basketball players and coaches, including captains Hunter Hayden and Lorraine Etchell. You can also sign up to be part of the brand new Urban Knight Fan Club, which will give you exclusive benefits and insider information on all your ART U Athletics news. The rally will also feature performances by the ART U Cheer team, and the Urban Funk Drumline.

[Women's Basketball Schedule]

If you can't wait until Friday to get in the basketball spirit, the Urban Knights women's basketball team takes on Cal State Monterey Bay on Tuesday night in Seaside, and the men's team plays their home opener on Wednesday against Cal State East Bay at Kezar Pavilion. Make sure to wear your black and red, sport your best Urban Knights gear, and most importantly, let any visiting team know that you are part of the Urban Knight Nation by showing up to the games! Admission is free for students and faculty. Just remember your Academy of Art ID!
