Phoenix, AZ -- Czar Robotham continued his spike in scoring with another 20-plus point performance last week in the Urban Knights loss to Cal Baptist on Saturday, and was selected to his second straight PacWest Top 10 Honor Roll. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Dec. 19, for games played Dec. 12-18.
Robotham dropped 23 on the Lancers to follow up his 20-point game against Simon Fraser a week earlier, and also added three rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the only game of the week for the Urban Knights. The Las Vegas native has steadily improved his scoring as the year has progressed, and has seen his average climb over double-digits after the past two games.
After averaging only 5.4 points per game last year, Czar now sits at 11.4 points per contest, and is only a couple games away from topping his point total for the entirety of last season. He has also seen his shooting percentage rise as well, improving almost 10 percentage points in the last four games alone. After the game against Seattle Pacific, Robotham was shooting 36.8%, but has shot 25-of-42 from the floor in the past four games to raise his season percentage to 46.5%.
In the game against Cal Baptist, Robotham kept the Knights close all game long, sinking field goal after field goal and appearing around the ball at all times. With his rebounds, steals, and assists, it seemed as if he was in on every play, and his coaches and opponents, and even the Lancers play-by-play crew, took notice.
"We have the privilege of watching Czar grow right in front of us," said head coach Mark Sembrowich. "He's a good player, and he's improving, and these are the results. We look forward to his continued improvement and I think he still has room to grow. It's a good place to start, and we're excited."
This marked the second time in his career that Robotham has been selected to the Honor Roll. The Urban Knights will return home after the holidays for their final non-conference matchup against The Master's College on December 30th, at Kezar Pavilion.
