PacWest Release
Phoenix, AZ – After averaging 17.3 points per game over three games last week, junior forward
Keith Davis has been selected to the Pacific West Conference Weekly Honor Roll. Achieving a pair of game-highs by eclipsing the 20-point mark twice, Davis remains entrenched among the conference's top four scorers. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Feb. 14, for games contested on Jan. 7-13.
Davis began the week by posting 22 points in a close, back-and-forth contest against Notre Dame de Namur on Feb. 7. The Long Beach, CA native caught fire to start the second half, scoring 18 of the Urban Knights' first 21 points. Davis converted seven of his 11 attempts from the floor (a blistering .640 percent) in that period alone, including 2-of-2 from long range.
In the first game of Academy of Art University's final out-of-state roadtrip this season, Davis was at it again versus Grand Canyon. This time, however, the majority of his scoring came in the opening half where he offered 15 points and was 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Finally, against Dixie State on Feb. 12, Davis contributed seven points.
For the week, Davis averaged 17.3 points per game while making 11 of his 15 foul shots (.733). He also knocked down five 3-pointers during that span. In addition to his offense, the junior forward registered eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
This is the seventh PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selection for Davis this season.
