Fairfax, CA - The Academy of Art women's golf team dominated in their duel match with Dominican on Monday, finishing all of their players ahead of the highest Penguin finisher. The Urban Knights were led by Mariana Pazos and Crystal Superal, who finished with identical scores on the front and back nine to end up at a solid 79 for the day. Kari Young was the highest finished for the Penguins at 97.

The Knights, who recently broke into the country's Top 50 Division II programs at #41, fought through less-than-stellar weather conditions to close out their cross-Bay rivals 322-451. Lyra Yoe finished third for the Urban Knights with an 81, including the front-nine low of 37, and Andrea Nieto was right behind her with an 83. Melissa Genao was sixth overall with a 96. The Knights also had two participants who did not count toward the final rankings, as Sierra Sanchez (84) and Alex Bickel (111) also got some work in.

The Urban Knights get back on the course on February 27-28 at the Lake San Marcos GC.
