PacWest Release Phoenix, AZ -- Senior outfielder Ashley Lokey closed out her Academy of Art University softball career in style with an impressive final doubleheader versus Notre Dame de Namur this past week on Apr. 28. For her efforts, Lokey captured yet another Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selection to close out her ART U career. She would hit a sparkling .714 in a week highlighted by her 4-for-4 game one. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ on Monday, Apr. 30 for games played Apr. 23-29.

It was a memorable opening game for Lokey who started off with a double up the middle, a steal of third base, and then scored the first of a three-run Urban Knights rally. The senior outfielder would single in the second inning and, when she did so again in the fourth, Lokey proceeded to reach third on an outfield error. After scoring her second run of the game on a wild pitch, she bunted her way aboard in the sixth for her fourth hit of the day. It marked the third time in Lokey's career that she had four hits in a single game and once again tied the ART U record.

The momentum from game one carried right into the second as Lokey crushed a solo home run on the fourth pitch of her at-bat to lead off the first inning. Her shot to deep over the left field fence was the seventh of her career and quickly put the Knights up 1-0 in that one.

Lokey completed the week hitting a whopping .714 (5-for-7) in two starts with a double, a home run, three runs scored, an RBI, and a stolen base. In the doubleheader, she slugged 1.286 while posting a .714 on-base percentage.

This is Lokey's third PacWest Weekly Top 10 honor of the year, not including her Player of the Week selection, and the ninth in her career.
