Final Round of NCAA Division II Preview Rained Out

DAYTONA, FL -
 The final round of the NCAA Women's Fall Preview was canceled mid-round due to inclement weather yesterday. Play was postponed around 12:30 p.m. when lightning first entered the area, then, around 3:30 p.m., the tournament was canceled the host institutions decided that only the first 36 holes would be counted and all scores reverted to their second-round positions.

Seniors Andrea Nieto and Lyra Yoe finished tied for 11th place, while the team's third senior, Crystal Superal, finished in 24th out of 71 participants. Mariana Pazos and Sierra Sanchez both finished well, with Pazos scoring a 171 and Sanchez with a 177.

Lynn University ends in first place at 606 while Barry University (618), Florida Tech (621), Central Oklahoma (622), and Florida Southern College (623) round out the top five. Florida Tech's Rachel Polson ends on the top of the individual leaderboard, firing a 145 over the first two days to end one-over par for the tournament.

The women will be back in action next week at Grand Canyon. The men's team will have their first action of the fall the same time at Western Washington.
