Bryan Fisher Makes Final Fantastic 15

Phoenix, AZ -- In the final regular season edition of the men's basketball PacWest Weekly Fantastic 15, Academy of Art University freshman guard Bryan Fisher notched a spot to cap off a great debut campaign. The awards were announced earlier this month by the PacWest offices in Phoenix.

Fisher averaged 13.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game in the final week of the season for ART U. He tied for second in assist average for the week. The Santa Cruz, CA native came up one assist short of a triple-double against Holy Names, scoring 11 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out nine assists. In the season finale, he had 16 points and seven assists against Dominican, pushing his season scoring average up to its highest points of the year at 12.3 points per game.

The freshman was the third-highest scorer on the team, and after a year has the fifth-highest career scoring average in program history. Fisher also pulled down 5.0 rebounds per game and totaled 109 assists, placing him atop the single-season leader board in that category with an average of 4.7 per game. His 109 dishes also place him fourth all-time for career assists after only one year. He also led the Knights with 41 steals this year, good for second in team history.

In the PacWest, Fisher joined PacWest Freshman of the Year and teammate Alex Carmon as the only two freshman to be in the top 30 in the conference in scoring (24th), while he also ranked fourth in assists per game, fourth in steals per game, and tenth in assist-to-turnover ratio. It marked Fisher's third time on the Fantastic 15.
