Christenson Claims PacWest Freshman of Week

PacWest Runners of the Week (Sept. 30)

Irvine, CA -- Redshirt freshman McKaela Christenson proudly represented Academy of Art University as the Pacific West Conference Freshman of the Week after a memorable collegiate 6k debut at the Stanford Invitational this past weekend.

Up against prime NCAA Division I talent, Christenson was not far off from PacWest Runner of the Week Staci Foster (Azusa Pacific) as the third non-DI runner to cross the finish line. She came in 35th place overall with a time of 22:02 in her first collegiate 6k race. ART U finished in eighth place behind APU.

Christenson and the ART U squads return to action in the SF State Invitational back at Golden Gate Park on Oct. 10.
