Final Results
WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — The Academy of Art University men's golf team held its position Saturday in the third and final round of the 24th Annual Dennis Rose Invitational, finishing seventh as a team in the tournament to wrap up its 2014 fall schedule.

The Urban Knights finished with a three-round total score of 941 (+77), one stroke ahead of California Collegiate Athletic Association member Cal State Dominguez Hills and only one stroke behind Great Northwest Athletic Conference member Northwest Nazarene.

The Knights were second among six Pacific West Conference teams competing. Host Hawaii Hilo won the tournament with a total score of 916. Academy of Art defeated BYU-Hawaii (9th, 946), Chaminade (11th, 954), Notre Dame de Namur (12th, 965) and Hawaii Pacific (13th, 979).

Junior
Dat Do was ART U's top individual finisher. Do jumped 12 spots in the final round to finish in a tie for 16th. Do shot a 75 (+3) Saturday, four strokes better than both of his rounds Friday. Do was eighth among PacWest players.

Senior Alberto Esponda finished tied for 22nd after shooting a 79 (+7) Saturday for a three-round total of 235 (+19). Senior
Eugene Wang was tied for 16th through two rounds Friday but fell to a tie for 27th after shooting 82 (+10) Saturday.

Freshman
Oskar Frick finished tied for 40th with a four-stroke improvement Saturday from his second to third round, shooting 79 to close out his fall. Fellow rookie
Gustavo Romero was tied for 48th with a three-round score of 242 (+26).

The Urban Knights begin their 2015 spring schedule on Feb. 23-24 at the Cal State San Bernardino Coyote Classic at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino.
