New Orleans, LA -- After dominating the Pacific West Conference Championships this past weekend, Jordan Edwards was named NCAA Division II Men's National Athlete of the Week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday. Leading the way for Academy of Art University in the meet, he secured the title of Most Valuable Athlete of the Meet thanks to seven first-place finishes and remained the top 400m runner in NCAA DII this season.

Edwards was an absolute beast throughout the two-day meet hosted at Fresno Pacific. He collected individual titles in the 100m (10.61), 200m (21.38), and his signature 400m (47.93). In all three events, Edwards was finished in first by a significant margin and, he also helped the Urban Knights' winning 4x100 (41.61) and 4x400 (3:17.81) relay teams. By the weekend's conclusion, Edwards had contributed 35 points to the ART U score across a total of eight races.

This is the first weekly honor for Edwards this season, but is his second award distributed by the USTFCCCA as he was named West Region Track Athlete of the Year for this past indoor season.
