InterWest Wildcat Classic Results (Day 1)CHICO, Calif. – ART U men's golf wrapped up a lengthy first two rounds of Chico State's InterWest Wildcat Classic out at Butte Creek Country Club on Monday. Sophomore
Oskar Frick turned in a career-best round two to lead the way for the Urban Knights in 11th place overall as a team.
Frick followed his 77 (+5) opening round with a new career-low 72 (E) in the second time through. He turned in seven birdies (four in a row at one point) and finished tied for 25th place. He was followed by Sophomore
Daniel Cosgrove in a tie for 45th individually with a 154 by way of back-to-back scores of 77.
The third and fourth scorers for the Knights were seniors
Cody Moore and
Dat Do tied for 55th and 69th respectively. Moore finished with a 156 (76-80) and Do offered a 159 (81-78).
After two rounds of action, the two individual leaders are Dylan Healey of Cal State San Marcos and Chris Crisologo of Simon Fraser each with a 138. However, it is Chico State who holds the team lead by four strokes (574). In 11th, Academy of Art leads Montana State-Billings by one stroke and has five-stroke margin over Holy Names and Cal State Dominguez Hills both in 13th.
ART U returns to Butte Country Club for the third and final round tomorrow.
