2015 Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout Final Results

VALLEJO, Calif. — The Academy of Art University men's golf team completed competition Tuesday at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted by Cal State East Bay at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course, taking 19th place with senior Alberto "Dago" Esponda finishing in the top-40.
 
The Urban Knights shot a team score of 334 in Tuesday's final round to finish with a three-round total of 969. ART U topped Pacific West Conference member Notre Dame de Namur (20th, 981) while finishing behind three others. Cal State Monterey Bay took the team title with an 897 (+33).
 
Esponda followed his seven-over 151 (73-78) on the first day of the tournament with an 82 in the final round. He would finish tied for 36th with a three-round total of 233 (+17). Senior Eugene Wang and Freshman Oskar Frick both tied for 81st with 247 (+31) total scores. Junior Dat Do was one stroke behind them in a tie for 86th at 248 (+32) for the tournament. Junior Tommaso Vielmo finished 105th with a 263 (+47).
 
The Urban Knights next take a week off before competing on April 13-14 at the Hanny Invitational hosted by Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock, Calif.
