2015 Pacific West Conference Championship Final ResultsÂ
ST. GEORGE, Utah — Senior Alberto "Dago" Esponda closed his Academy of Art University men's golf career strong Wednesday, earning a top-20 finish and leading the Urban Knights on the final day of the 2015 Pacific West Conference Championship Tournament at Sunbrook Golf Course.

Esponda finished 19th, his second-best showing this season. He shot a six-over 78 in the final round to total 229 (+13) for the tournament. He birdied the par-four 10th to start the back nine and also had 11 pars. ART U finished eighth after shooting 318 (+30) as a team Wednesday. They were one of seven teams out of the 10 in the tournament that saw their scores increase from Tuesday's second round, highlighting the difficulties the entire field faced.

Freshman
Oskar Frick rebounded from an 11-over 83 in the second round to break 80 for the second time in the tournament and finish tied for 31st in his first-ever conference championship. Frick's 79 (+7) was the Urban Knights' second-best score Wednesday. Senior
Eugene Wang earned a top-30 finish in his final PacWest Conference Championship Tournament, grabbing 30th place with an eight-over 80 in the final round and a 235 (+19) three-round total.

Gustavo Romero completed his first conference championship tournament as well with an 81 (+9), good for a tie for 37th after totaling 241 (+25). Junior
Tommaso Vielmo also competed for the Knights, shooting a 92 (+20) and finishing in a tie for 47th.

Host Dixie State won the conference title by one stroke over Dominican University of California with an 875 (+11) total. California Baptist's Kavan Eubank was the individual medalist after a tournament-best round of 66 (-6) in the final round.
