GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Academy of Art University women's golf sophomore
Crystal Wang and freshman
Shu-lin Lin were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association 2014-15 All-West Region team, as announced at an awards banquet Thursday during the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship hosted by Grand Valley State University.

The WGCA presented its All-American teams and all-region teams for the Central, East, South and West regions at the banquet. Wang won the NCAA Division II West Super Regional individual title on May 6 to qualify for this week's national championship tournament. Lin was only one stroke away from qualifying for a playoff that determined the third and final individual berth from the West for the national championship.
Â
"I am so proud of
Crystal Wang and
Shu-lin Lin," said Academy of Art head coach
Elaine Harris. "They are great leaders on this team and I look forward to watching them grow as players at the Academy of Art University."
Â
Wang collected eight top-10 finishes in 11 top-20 showings during the 2014-15 season, including winning the West Regional championship. She led the Urban Knights with a 76.4 stroke average in 25 rounds played during the year. She was the team's top finisher at the CBU Women's Invitational in February with a runner-up placing, leading ART U to the tournament title.
Â
Lin had five top-10 finishes of her own and 10 top-20 showings in her first year of collegiate golf. She was second on the team with a 76.8 stroke average in 25 rounds played. She led the team to a third place finish at the Pacific West Conference Championship in April with a third place individual showing.
Â
Wang will complete the Academy of Art women's golf season on Saturday when she competes in the final round of the NCAA Championship at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.
