2015 NCAA Division II National Championships Results (Day 3)
ALLENDALE, Mich. --Â Academy of Art University track & field finished off its 2015 season with NCAA All-American awards on both the men's and women's side after the third of three days at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. Keanna Moody (400m) both captured All-American honors.
Following up their season-best in Thursday's prelims, the quartet of Marlon Britton, Jordan Edwards, Alexander McNally, and Shaquille Howard combined for a 40.54 on Saturday, earning them seventh overall and the Urban Knight men All-American trophies in the event for the second consecutive year.
The women's 400m saw Moody match her placement from one year ago as she finished sixth overall with a time of 54.83. Strong out of the block, she pushed past Southern Connecticut State's Crystle Hill and Briana Fells of Shippensburg down the stretch to secure her eighth career All-American trophy and second in the 400m event.
In the men's 1500m finals, Valentin Pepiot battled with the nation's best and was in the lead along the way. The end result was 11th place for the junior, seven seconds off the podium and an All-American honor.
Edwards was also set to contend the 400m dash and 200m dash, but injury prevented him from doing so.
In the end, it was Saint Augustine's who won the men's team championship by three points over Findlay and Central Missouri collected the women's team title by a nine-point margin on top of Lincoln (Mo.).
