TIP OFFThe Academy of Art's first matchup will come against the first-place Eagles on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Saturday showdown with the Silverswords at 3:30 p.m.

KNIGHTS OF KNOTESophomore guard
Jase Harrison is at the top of the stat sheet in several different categories for ART U, including: average points (12.9), rebounds (4.9), steals (1.7), and minutes (29.2). Harrison's average steals per game is also the fifth-highest in the PacWest conference. Senior guard
Nick Cary (Academy of Art's Athlete of the Week for January 25) had an impressive game against No. 22 Azusa Pacific on
January 23, scoring 16 points with seven rebounds and three steals.
EAGLES BACK ON TOPWith Azusa Pacific's loss to Dominican on January 25, Concordia (16-3, 9-2 PacWest) moved into a first-place tie with the Cougars. Coming into January 27th's game with the Urban Knights, the Eagles have won their previous five matchups with an average margin of 17.4 points. Concordia's JT Roach leads the team with 16.9 points per game, but Stephen Grosey owns team-highs in rebounds (8.7 per game), steals (2.2 per game, second in conference) and minutes (32.3 per contest).
SILVERSWORDS IN MURKY WATERSThe 7-10, 5-5 PacWest Silverswords are currently in seventh place in the conference and have dropped four of their last six contests. Kuany Kuany has been a leader on the floor for Chaminade, averaging 15.1 points per game, 9.5 rebounds, and 33.8 minutes.
URBAN KNIGHTS FALL TO NO. 22 AZUSA PACIFICJan. 23 - The Urban Knights (4-13, 2-9 PacWest) put together a solid first half against the No. 22 Azusa Pacific Cougars (15-3, 9-1 PacWest) on Saturday, but ultimately fell 85-71.
Although APU scored a layup in their opening possession, senior guard
Nick Cary quickly responded with a 3-pointer from the back corner that hit nothing but net. After a jumper made by the Cougars, Academy of Art would go ahead on another trey, this time by sophomore guard
Jase Harrison that would keep ART U in front for the next four minutes. After leading by as much as four points during that period, APU's Austin Dyer would score on a layup, giving Azusa Pacific the lead for good.
LOOKING AHEADThe week of February 1, Academy of Art will wrap up their home stand with a game against Holy Names on February 3rd, before heading off to Utah to face Dixie State on February 11th.
