PacWest Golfers of the Week March 24

Freshman Sabrina Virtusio captured her first second-place finish at the Otter Invitational March 21-22 to be named this week's Pacific West Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.

In the first round, the Architecture major tied for sixth-place with 77 strokes. In the second, the Concord, Calif. native saw a three-stroke improvement, posting a 74 (+2) which was one stroke behind the leader. Her previous best tournament was when she tied for eighth at the DBU Women's Classic (October 12-13, 2015).
 
"Sabrina was focused and organized in her thinking," said head coach Elaine Harris. "She was putting and chipping well throughout all 36 holes."

This is Virtusio's first PacWest Golfer of the Week Award.
