Academy of Art versus BYU-Hawaii Final ResultsSAN FRANCISCO – Academy of Art women's tennis entered Thursday's match against No. 1 BYU-Hawaii no stranger to playing top-ranked teams, having played four top-15 opponents during their trip to Florida. Although falling 6-3, the culmination of their experiences allowed them to take the very first points from the Seasiders after they had swept all of their previous opponents.

Two of the doubles matches came down to the wire, but senior
Michelle Dandik Zaale and freshman
Paula Alcantara emerged victorious (9-8 and 7-4 in the tiebreaker). This match had extra significance as it was the first time BYU-Hawaii had lost a point the entire season. Freshmen
Alma Thell-Lenntorp and
Klara Thell-Lenntorp almost won their match as well, but were just edged 8-6.

When the match turned to singles, the Urban Knights needed four out of six wins in order to take home the win. Although many were close, ART U would only come away with two victories as both Klara [7-6 (7-2), 6-1] and Alma (6-2, 6-4) notched wins in both fifth and sixth singles respectively. Freshman
Paula Alcantara lost her comeback bid in the second, but came close, falling by a score of 6-2. 6-4.
