Oldham Slugs Home PacWest Player of the Week

PacWest Conference Players of the Week (Mar. 28)

IRVINE, Calif. -- After breaking out with three home runs and six batted in during ART U softball's most recent homestand, senior catcher Elise Oldham was named Pacific West Conference Co-Player of the Week. The awards are based on games played March 21-28.

Oldham began the weekend by going 3-for-3 with a home run and one RBI in the Knights' 5-4 win over Notre Dame de Namur on Mar. 25. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native then was 3-for-5 with homers in each of the two games in a Mar. 26 twinbill against Dominican. She would knock in two on a long bomb in the first inning of ART U's 11-6 victory hosting the Penguins.

For the week, Oldham hit .636 (7-for-11) with three homers, six driven in, three runs scored, two walks, no strikeouts, and her first career stolen base. En route to driving in at least one run in each game, she slugged 1.455 and had an on-base percentage of .692.

Now in a three-way tie for the team lead in home runs (four), Oldham is also currently tied with Shampayne Clay for third on the program's all-time list with 15 in her career.

This is Oldham's first career PacWest Player of the Week honor.
