PacWest Conference Championship Final Results
 
LITCHFIELD, Ariz. – Academy of Art women's golf continued to dominate on the final day: the team placed second overall and saw three Urban Knights be named to the PacWest Conference Championship All-Tournament team.
 
The three Knights named to the All-Tournament team were junior Crystal Wang, freshman Sabrina Virtusio, and sophomore Sterling Hawkins. Wang finished the third round with a score of 76, giving her a tie for fourth in the tournament. Virtusio was just three strokes behind her teammate, posting an overall score of 233 which was good for a sixth-place finish. Hawkins tied for seventh-place which is her best finish this season, and it matches her second-best placing at ART U.
 
"I am really proud of the way everyone performed today and throughout this tournament," said head coach Elaine Harris. "I saw good shot after good shot. I am very happy with the performance of each individual and I am happy to see everyone contributing."
 
As a team, the Urban Knights finished with a total of 950 strokes which was 40 behind the first-place California Baptist Lancers. Their second place-finish also matches their best-ever finish at the PacWest Tournament.
 
Academy of Art will now await the decision of whether or not their players will be selected to participate in the NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament. The event will be held in Stockton, Calif. at the Brookside Country Club.
 
"We have two weeks until the regional tournament and lots of work to do before then," said Harris. "However, I am excited to get another opportunity to see the team compete and play for a championship"
