After going 1-1 against Dominican and Chaminade, the Urban Knights will embark on their first Southern California trip of 2017 to face Azusa Pacific and No. 5 California Baptist.

KNIGHTS OF KNOTE
Junior guard Uchenna Okeneme was named PacWest Defender of the Week after a solid pair of games against Dixie State and Dominican.  During the two contests, the Advertising major averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 steals. Okeneme is currently tied or 6th in the conference with 1.6 steals per game. Senior forward Chris Salas leads the Urban Knights in several statistical categories including average: points (11.3), rebounds (6.2), and minutes (29.1). Meanwhile, freshman forward Luka Radovic is third in the PacWest with 1.3 blocks per game.
 
COUGARS SCRATCHING FOR WINS
After going 4-2 to start their conference schedule, the Cougars have since lost three-consecutive games with their latest defeat coming at home against California Baptist. However, two of their last three games have been decided by four points or fewer. Petar Kutlesic leads APU in average points (15.1), rebounds (8.2), and blocks (1.0).
 
LANCERS RANKED NO. 5
California Baptist enters Monday's contest with ART U ranked No. 5 in Division II. The Lancers are in the midst of a six-game winning streak and their sole loss this season came at the hands of PacWest-leading Dixie State on December 8 by a score of 75-71. Michael Smith sits atop the PacWest with an average 24.7 points per game for the Lancers and is second with 35.0 minutes per contest. Smith also leads the team in average rebounds (6.9) and assists (3.9).

PREVIOUS GAME: ART U OUTLASTED BY CHAMINADE 82-70
Jan. 10 - With 1:01 remaining, senior forward Chris Salas drove into the paint to make a layup, cutting the Urban Knights' deficit to just eight points. However, despite their efforts, Chaminade (10-6, 6-3 PacWest) was able to pull away in the remaining 60 seconds, defeating Academy of Art (4-8, 3-3 PacWest) 82-70.
