SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – It was a slow start for Academy of Art men's soccer team, surrendering two goals in the first seven minutes of play with the first coming just four minutes after the game began. The UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs quickly added another goal and were able to hold off the Knights' impressive offensive-effort to take the match 2-0.

In the first half of the contest, ART U was held to only four shots. However, two of these shots came in the last 10 minutes of the half. This late momentum carried over to the second period where ART U exploded for 13 shots, outshooting their opponent by 10, and giving them a total of 17 shots for a new season-high.

Jordan Seech led the Knights' strong offense, accounting for four shots each. With the loss, the Urban Knights' overall record falls to 3-6-1.
