ON THE ROAD FOR THREE
Academy of Art returns from the intercession with three road games. First, the Urban Knights will head to Fresno Pacific before jetting off to Hawaii for a two games on Oahu and The Big Island.

TIP OFF
ART U tips off against the Sunbirds at 7:30 p.m. on December 30 and the Knights will begin the new year with a matchup against Hawaii Pacific on January 3 at 6:30 p.m. HT. The road trip will come to a close with their final contest at 7:30 p.m. HT on January 5 against UH Hilo.

KNIGHTS OF KNOTE
Junior guard
Cole Morgan had the biggest night for ART U in their previous matchup against Point Loma on
December 18. The Fresno, Calif. native matched his career-high from earlier this season with 17 points while also contributing six rebounds and one steal. Morgan helped his team lead the Sea Lions for 37 of the contest's 40 minutes, but Point Loma pulled away in the final minutes for the win. Senior guard
Kendall Brown leads the team on the offensive-end, averaging 15.5 points per game while junior center
Cameron Niven leads ART U with 6.3 rebounds per game.

SUNBIRDSÂ HOT AS OF LATE
Fresno Pacific enters Saturday's matchup with ART U with a 4-9, 2-3 PacWest record. However, they have taken two of their previous three contests, defeating Biola and West Coast Baptist by a combined total of 55 points. FPU has three players who are averaging double-digit point totals including Sam Burt and Jake Straughan who lead the team respectively with 14.6 and 14.3 points apiece.

SHARKS ON A THREE-GAME STREAK
Hawaii Pacific entered the break on a hot streak, having won each of their previous three contests, and four of their last five. Overall, HPU boasts a record of 7-4 with a 2-1 conference mark and they are tied with UH Hilo for fourth-place in the PacWest. The Sharks' Niksha Federico leads the conference in both scoring (24.4 points per game) and rebounding (11.5) which is ranked seventh and 11th in the country respectively.

VULCANS LOOKING TO GET BACK ON TRACK
After beginning December with a two-game win streak against Biola and Concordia, UH Hilo has been unable to get in the win column since, dropping their last four contests. The Vulcans currently have four players averaging double-digit points with Trey Ingram at the top of the stat sheet with 16.6 points per game.

Dec. 18 - Academy of Art men's basketball looked dominant throughout Monday night's game against Point Loma: the Urban Knights held the lead for over 37 of the contest's 40 minutes. However, a late push by the Sea Lions gave PLNU their first lead with less than two minutes to play in the second half which they were able to sustain until the final buzzer.
